Carrie Underwood
Carrie Marie Underwood (ur. 10 marca 1983 w Checotah, Oklahoma) - amerykańska wokalistka wykonująca muzykę pop i country.

Dorastała na farmie rodziców. Jest trzecią i najmłodszą córką Stephen i Carole Underwood. Ma dwie starsze siostry, Shanna i Stephanie, obie są nauczycielkami w szkole podstawowej. W dzieciństwie Carrie zagrała w Robbins Memorial Talent Show. Śpiewała też w chórze kościelnym. W wieku 13 lat jej kierownik chóru próbował załatwic jej kontrakt w Record Capitol, jednak z powodu zmian zachodzących w tym czasie w Capitol nie zrealizowano tego. W 2001 roku zakończyła szkołę średnią w Checotah. Po szkole średniej przeszła do Northeastern University State w Tahlequah, gdzie skończyła studia "magna laude" (z rangą kawalera masowej komunikacji i nacisku w dziennikarstwie). Uczestniczyła też w licznych konkursach miss, a w 2004r. zajęła 2 miejsce w konkursie Miss NSU. Aktualnie Carrie mieszka w Franklin, przedmieściach Nashville, Tennessee. Na przesłuchania do American Idol trafiła latem, 2004 roku. Już w drugim etapie przesłuchań była faworytką i wróżono jej wygraną w tej edycji. 25 maja 2005 roku Carrie wygrała 4 edycję American Idol. 15 listopada Carrie wydała swoja debiutancka płytę "Some Hearts", która odniosła ogromny sukces. Do tej pory została sprzedana w ilości przekraczającej 6 milionów sztuk i pokryła się siedmiokrotną platyną. Za album zgarnęła liczne nagrody, a najważniejsze z nich są dwie statuetki Grammy zdobyte w 2007 roku i jedna w 2008. Drugi album, zatytułowany "Carnival Ride", ukazał się 23 października 2007 roku.
